Diamond Sonic is a DJ Service and event rental company catering to the San Francisco Bay Area. We feature DJ’s, Photographers, Cinematographers, Live Sound Engineers and Video Engineers, combined with Audio Visual (AV) rental services. We were founded in 2007 and cater primarily to Silicon Valley and San Francisco based clients, but have been known to work in Napa, Las Vegas and many other locations in the Bay Area and beyond!
Our clients work with us year after year, because we are a boutique AV solution that prioritizes quality over quantity. We are a small team of extremely passionate and specialized sound and visual artists, who bring a wealth of experience and dedication to the table. We understand managing complex show runs, tight budgets and critical timing specifications. We integrate easily into our client’s teams, and become an instrumental part of their company’s success. Diamond Sonic is the locally grown, organically sourced, farm-to-table of the AV world! Quality and accountability set us apart and we look forward to earning your trust!
Meet the team
Liam Shy
Founder
Liam Shy has been hard at work creating events and experiences for the last 15+ years. His roles have included: Project Manger, DJ, Logistics Specialist, Live Sound Engineer, Video Engineer, Photographer, Videographer and more.
In addition to overseeing Diamond Sonic, Liam Shy is a renowned educator and teacher, holding lecture positions at San Francisco State University and the Pyramind Institute for Digital Audio. His enthusiasm for audio, video, events and technology is his driving force for propelling Diamond Sonic forward and servicing a wide range of clientele.
Whether it’s a large scale event at Levi’s Stadium, a wedding in Monterey or a business meeting for your sales team - the highest levels of commitment are the foundation for every event. Liam greatly looks forward to meeting you and helping create a rock solid plan for your upcoming show!
Cece Suhail
Events & Customer Relationship Manager
As the newest member of our team, Cece is looking forward to serving Diamond Sonic clients in their pursuit for flawless event experiences. She is an enthusiastic individual who loves to facilitate planning, logistics and inspiration both in preparation and execution.
Cece graduated from McMaster University in Political Philosophy with a B.A. Honours. In addition she is currently continuing her education at McMaster university and working on obtaining her degree in Human Resource Management. Her history of working in luxury retail (Giorgio Armani) as a lead sales associate and her active participation in her community's ongoing events led to her passion for event planning and building customer relationships. Cece is thrilled to put her knowledge and background to use to ensure that all her clients leave satisfied.
Any time clients have inquiries about their specific service needs or want to book with us, they can expect to get a warm greeting from our Events and Customer Relationship Manger, Cece. She is able to meet client’s needs efficiently, as well as offering insight for potential pitfalls to avoid.
